High-Speed Fibre Broadband Rollout Begins for Town & Country Housing Residents
Residents living in Town & Country Housing flats are set to benefit from a new high-speed fibre broadband project.
The scheme will provide fibre broadband connections directly to blocks of flats, starting in Maidstone. Fibre broadband uses fibre-optic cables connected straight to homes, offering faster and more reliable internet than traditional broadband services.
As part of the project, an external fibre cable network will be installed and connected to residential blocks. Once the work is complete, residents will be able to choose whether to switch to fibre broadband or remain with their current provider.
The work is being carried out by broadband company Netomnia on behalf of Peabody Group, of which Town & Country Housing is a part. Affected residents will receive information from Peabody Group before work begins in their area.
Coming Soon Across the Region
The fibre broadband upgrade has now been completed at Town & Country Housing flats in Maidstone, marking the first stage of the project.
Work is set to continue across the region later this year, with more Town & Country Housing residents expected to benefit from access to high-speed fibre broadband. Residents will be contacted ahead of work starting in their area and will have the option to upgrade once the new network is available.
