Information for Homeowners

If you’re a Shared Owner, this section is home to useful information for you.

Payments & changes to your circumstances

If you are struggling to keep up with payments due to a change in your financial circumstance, please contact your Income Manager as soon as possible, as advice can be given, and a payment plan can be agreed for arrears.

It is important to keep up with your payments to Love Living Homes (Town & Country Housing) as well as your mortgage lender.

If you do not pay your rent, we can approach your mortgage lender for payment of the rent arrears. You will have to pay interest on any rent arrears. Rent & mortgage arrears affect your credit rating and ability to borrow money in the future.

Your home could be repossessed if non-payment persists.

Money support services

Town and Country Housing offer Tenancy and Money Support services to support tenants, including Shared Owners, who may be at risk or may be struggling with rent arrears and debt.

These teams can provide advice and information, signpost or refer you for help that may be available.  We are also able to approach charitable organisations who offer all kinds of help which you may be unaware you could be eligible for.
